Swimming is a life-long skill that everyone can enjoy, regardless of age. Among its many benefits, swimming teaches children life lessons of sport and sportsmanship, so they can learn how to work well with teammates and coaches and how to deal with winning and losing. Swimming also motivates participants to strive for self-improvement, teaches goal orientation, and cultivates a positive mental attitude and high self-esteem.
Students will improve swimming skills, build confidence in the water, and learn personal safety by certified aquatics instructors who guide with praise and encouragement. Financial assistance is available for swim lessons so that everyone in the Summerville community has the opportunity to build confidence and develop the whole person – spirit, mind and body. It’s what makes us different from any other exercise facility.
