Adventure Camp Rising 1-5 grades

Traditional Summer Camp with hours of operation 7am-6pm.

This camp is for rising 1st-5th graders.  Breakfast and lunch provided daily.  Please provide a healthy snack and any additional food your child may need.

Weekly themes, and field trips (included in rate).  Campers will also enjoy an hour of swim time each day in our outdoor pool. Campers should dress in play clothes and closed toes shoes. NO SANDALS OR FLIP FLOPS ALLOWED!! Please bring refillable water bottles, bathing suit, towel, sunscreen, and bug spray each day.

Please label ALL of your child’s belongings, and check our lost and found box immediately if your child is missing something. All unclaimed items remaining at the beginning of the following week will be donated.

Camp is hustling and bustling, Hollywood style, with movie stars, dancers, singers, and more, for the world premiere of the Y Talent Show. We’ll be live from the red carpet this week so be sure to stop by, bring your cameras and check out the stars!

Color Wars
Red, Blue, Yellow, or Green… what team will YOU be? Groups are split into team’s this week as they battle to be Color War 2020 Champs! Color Wars week is a great opportunity for children of all ages to compete in classic camp games, counselor vs. camper challenges, relays and more!

For example, the Charleston jail, Exchange dungeon and creepy cemeteries. Friday, campers will experience an escape room in downtown Charleston. Camp will run from 5:30pm – 10pm. Kids Triathlon Camp

This camp is designed to introduce youth to multi-sport training in a positive fun environment.

All youth receive instruction in swimming, cycling, and running. Time will be split riding bikes down the Sawbranch trail, running outside, and at the Oakbrook pool.

Your child will improve their swimming skills, play mermaid themed games, and do arts and crafts.  Please bring bathing suit, towel, water, lunch and sunscreen. Camp held at our Oakbrook Pool. Sign in and out at Oakbrook Childcare. Child MUST be comfortable in the water and be able to swim at least 15 yards unassisted.

Every child will go home with a mermaid fin of their own!

Children will learn basics, run drills, and play games. Children should pack snacks & refillable water bottle. They should have cleats, shin guards and their own ball. We also highly recommend sunscreen and bug spray. Camp is 9am-12pm for Ages 5-8 and 12:30-3:30pm for ages 9-14yrs. Extended care available.

This program is extended hours if your child is registered for a specialty camp at our Oakbrook branch only. Drop off as early as 7am and pick up by 6pm. If your child’s specialty camp ends at 12pm, please send refillable water bottle, bathing suit , towel and sunscreen as your child will be going to the pool with Adventure camp.

Campers will visit Wannamaker, James Island, Folly Beach, IOP and Mount Pleasant. This is the best way to beat the heat on those hot summer days! Camp is from 9-2, additional hours are available. Please come dressed in bathing suit and bring towel, sunscreen, refillable water bottle, lunch and snack. Please bring a change of clothes if staying for the rest of the day at regular camp.

Hours: 9-12pm–Lead by ARHS teacher Robert Culbreath and members of the Swamp Fox stage. In this 2 week camp session ,Campers will explore the world of theater through games, acting exercises, learning about stage make-up, costumes and even performing for an audience. This is a great self-esteem building camp! Camp runs from 9a-12pm. Additional hours available. Please pack snack and refillable water bottle. On Friday July 24th join us at 11:30 for an extraordinary showcase to see all that your camper has learned!
