ABOUT THE LEAGUE
The Y is the starting point for many youth to learn about becoming and staying active, and developing healthy habits they’ll carry with them throughout their lives. And the benefits are far greater than just physical health. Participating in sports at the Y is about building the whole child, from the inside out.
Practices include specific drills to help children develop motor skills and improve coordination. Most importantly, this YMCA soccer league emphasizes teamwork, fair play, self-confidence, and fun. Volunteers coach our teams to help build skills and encourage character development in a non-competitive environment. Please contact our Sports Office to sign-up to be a Volunteer Coach or Team Parent at 821-1028.
Financial assistance is available for those who qualify.
ABOUT THE SEASON
The Y provides jerseys for every player. We will no longer provide Socks. Please note, your child must the be age indicated in each division on February 1, 2020.
Practices -Oakbrook Socccer: U6 – U10 are Monday through Friday, 5:30 OR 6:30pm. Practice is once or twice a week (depending on age). U12 – U17 practices twice a week at 5:30 or 6:45pm.
-U6 at the Ponds location will have Monday – Friday, one day per week, 5pm practices only.
Games are played on Saturdays and some evenings. Games begin February 15th and run through April 4th .
Please indicate any special requests when you register and we will do our best to accommodate.
Refunds: Any refunds will incur an admin fee of $15. No refunds after the start of the program.
