Annual CampaignInvesting in People. Strengthening Our Community.
Our Mission in Action
The Annual Campaign is how the Summerville Family YMCA lives out its mission of youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Through your support, the Y connects people, resources, and services to serve more than 20,000 children, teens, families, adults, and seniors each year, ensuring that no one is turned away due to financial barriers. Every dollar raised stays local, strengthening our community by providing access to programs that help individuals grow, stay healthy, and thrive. When you give to the Annual Campaign, you’re not just supporting the Y, you’re investing in a stronger, healthier Summerville for all.

A New Opportunity to Give, and Save
Beginning in 2026, new federal tax rules will make charitable giving more accessible than ever. For the first time, non-itemizers will be able to claim a tax deduction for charitable donations—up to $2,000 for married couples and $1,000 for individuals, even if you don’t itemize. This change creates a new opportunity to support the YMCA you care about while also receiving a financial benefit for your generosity. If you’ve given to the Y in the past without a tax incentive—or if you’ve never been able to deduct charitable gifts—these new rules finally allow you to receive a tangible benefit for the impact you make.
